Biography

Dr. Md. Biplob Hossain is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Kishoreganj University, Bangladesh. He previously served as an Assistant Professor at Daffodil International University and as a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Khwaja Yunus Ali University. He earned his Ph.D. in Information and Communication Systems from Okayama University, Japan, with research in Information Security Engineering. His doctoral research focused on a blockchain-based PGP key sharing mechanism for secure email communication and IoT applications. He received his M.Sc.Engg. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology and his B.Sc. in Telecommunication and Electronic Engineering from Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science & Technology University, where he graduated first in his class. His research interests include cybersecurity, blockchain security, IoT systems, secure communication, authentication mechanisms, and related emerging technologies. He is actively engaged in research aimed at developing secure and intelligent digital systems for the future.

Abstract

Blockchain and IoT Security for Trustworthy Intelligent Communication Systems

The rapid expansion of IoT, cloud services, intelligent communications, and data-driven systems has transformed the way modern digital infrastructures are designed and used. However, this transformation has also increased exposure to cyber threats, identity spoofing, data tampering, unauthorized access, and privacy leakage. As digital ecosystems become more interconnected and intelligent, security must evolve beyond conventional perimeter-based protection toward trust-centric and adaptive mechanisms. This keynote will present recent perspectives on securing intelligent digital ecosystems through blockchain-based trust frameworks, secure authentication, and resilient IoT design. The discussion will cover emerging threats in modern communication networks, approaches for threat detection and prevention, data privacy protection, and the development of resilient cyber-physical systems. The talk will also highlight current research trends and future opportunities at the intersection of cybersecurity, intelligent computing, and next-generation communication technologies. By bringing together perspectives from information security, communication engineering, data integrity, and access control in resource-constrained and heterogeneous environments, this keynote aims to provide valuable insights into building secure, adaptive, and sustainable digital ecosystems capable of supporting the technological demands of the future. The session will also discuss how these security ideas can support the broader goals of SPECTRA 2026, particularly in emerging computational technologies and information security research. By combining secure communication principles with intelligent automation and data-centric system design, the keynote aims to provide a practical roadmap for building trustworthy, scalable, and future-ready digital infrastructures.
